For 20 years (from 2000 to 2021) in Vilnius, J. Basanavičiaus Street 29, there was working a Folk Artists' Workshop. It was part of the Vilnius City Municipality's Crafts, Ethnographic Businesses and Fairs program. However, today I have to say goodbye and close the doors of the workshop. It is quite hard, because I invested and renovated the premises so here could be exhibited my and other artists’ works, so it could be open for educational activities and crafts demonstrations. At first, with my mother, the famous glove knitter Emilija Navickiene, later with my daughters, we cherished folk art in this corner of Vilnius. In this special place many works were created, exhibitions organized, competitions won and three paper cuttings books published.
The workshop is closed, but the work is not over. You can always find me online at https://klaidaspapercuts.lt, on my personal account on the social network Facebook, at fairs, exhibitions and Būda village, where I am now creating and I invite you to visit craft demonstrations during the summer time.
With respect,
Master of paper cuttings and wood carvings
